Tidgrove Topographic Data Update

Further to the final post on the Tidgrove excavations, here is a small addition to that post, containing the results of the topographic survey conducted by the students. The data have been downloadedand converted to a TIN and contours of the area.

Rough topographic survey results for Tidgrove 2011

The image shows the preliminary results of the survey, and a number of features, including the edges of the Roman terraces, the area of the settlement and ditches and the ridge can be seen. Some of the results aren’t included on here, but will be once further survey is conducted at the site. A huge thanks to all of the students and volunteers that took part in the topographic survey!
